Definition

POREC’s porous tube for exudative irrigation is a new concept in localized microirrigation system developed on  the most advanced innovation in the field of thecnical textile fabrics for special uses. This technology provides POREC’s tubes with the best features when applying them combined with the drip technology. POREC’s tube is registered in Europe, the United States, Israel, Chile, and the United Arab Emirates.

One of the outstanding tube features are the 150,000 pores per lineal metre in one tube. This technology makes every pore of the fabric dynamic. The combination of the knitted fabric structure with resin achieves that each pore acts as a micromembrane with the following results:

  • A high level of exudative regularity due to the reduction of load losses.

  • Decrease of the obturation risk and, in consequence, prolongation of the product’s service life.

  • Protection against root intrusion.

If you observe the fabric of POREC’s tubes with a magnifying glass, you can count the pores that act as micromembranes

  • Saving of irrigation water.

  • The estimated saving are between 20% and 60%, depending on the season of the year and the used irrigation system. The reason for this is that evaporations are avoided if the tube is used underground, and that the water is transported directly and localized to the plantsâ roots, so that there are no losses because of superficial runoff.

  • High application uniformity.

  • Our exudative irrigation provides a high irrigation uniformity at different working pressures. Therefore, it grants an even distribution of the applied amount of water in order to fulfill the cultivationâs needs and this, in turn, makes it an efficient use of the irrigation water which results in the decrease of the water use

  • Easy installation.

  • Because of the lack of seams and its flexibility, the installation is far easier (it allows 360 º curvatures and adapts perfectly to the irrigation connections).

  • High resistance.

  • The technique used to manufacture the product bestows it with a high resistance, surpassing any of the ones existing on the current market.

  • Less obturation risk.

  • The dynamic pores hinder the formation of obturations in the system and extend the productâs service life.

  • More ventilation.

  • Each time you start the irrigation with PORECâs tube, it is possible to spread the remaining air in the system through the tube itself, which enhances considerably the air content in the soil.

  • Better energetic efficiency.

  • Our system can work directly at gravitational pressure and a high energetic efficiency (it can work at very low pressures of â0.15 bar), enabling it to use technologies based on renewable energies.

  • Excellent for non-potable water.

  • (Reclaimed wastewaters, urban phreatic waters and drainage waters in underground installations. Its use is especially suitable with saline water of a bad microbiological quality (because there is no contact nor with the cultivation nor with people it does not generate aerosols such as in sprinkler irrigation).

  • Suitable for fertigation and the use of phytosanitary products.

  • Suitable for fertigation and the use of phytosanitary products.

  • It allows to use the advantages of the drip technology.

  • One of the innovations of POREC’s tubes is that it can include a band from the irrigation´s dripper. This combination helps to find the exact flow quantity for an even distribution.
